One of the benefits of blogging, which I’ve recently discovered, is that you sometimes get the chance to participate in some cool product reviews and promotions, which is what my post is about today. So when you see posts like this, please know that I am doing them because I truly believe in the product or service I’m writing about, not just for the free stuff.
I’ve been a huge fan of LeapFrog products for 9 years now – basically since my oldest son was born. We have tons of LeapFrog products around our house that have been great teaching toys for all of my children. So when I was given the chance to test out some new LeapFrog Tag products, I was totally in!
We didn’t have the LeapFrog Tag system, but had heard great things about from my sister-in-law who got it for her girls last year for Christmas. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s basically an electronic pen that recognizes where it is on any of the Tag books, and reads that spot in the book. The books teach kids to read words, write letters, phonics, games, and more.
We received the LeapFrog Tag Human Body Discovery Pack to explore and I had my 7 year old test it out! It came with a large book/interactive chart, 3 pages of stickers and a growth chart. All of which can be used with the Tag pen to learn and discover new things.
My son enjoyed placing the stickers in the correct places on the growth chart and then touching them to review what the different stickers are.
One side of the book goes through the different systems in your body – the Digestive System, Respiratory & Circulatory Systems, Skeletal System, Nervous System & Muscular System, with a fun little game to review things you learn throughout the book. We both played the game at the end and he won!
On the other side of the book were some pages about how everyone is different and the amazing things your body can do. The last 3 pages included a chart of the body with a couple different games you could play – I think this was my son’s favorite part! Seeing how much he had learned and could remember quickly.
The LeapFrog Tag Human Body Discovery Pack is a wonderful way to teach children about the human body, which is a pretty complex topic to cover…I even learned a thing or two and can’t wait to buy some more books for the kids to enjoy!
